Why we are here
Shopping for clothes got exhausting.
Endless scrolling. Sizes that mean nothing. Photographs that flatter a garment you will not recognise when it arrives. A countdown clock telling you to hurry up.
We wanted the opposite of that.
We're all about keeping things simple at SOLTERI. Our idea is to show you what we've got, tell you exactly what it is, and give you one fair price. We won't be changing the way we do things, even when our products change with the seasons or when we find new stuff. You can take your time, no rush, and we'll always be upfront with you.
We focus on doing one thing right, rather than trying to do many things poorly. Here, everything is straightforward — prices are in pounds, sizes are as you'd expect, and products are chosen with the British climate in mind, which can be quite unpredictable, even before lunch. Plus, returns are simple: email us and we send you the address. Prices are in pounds with VAT included, so there are no exchange-rate surprises and nothing to pay on delivery.
Our side of the deal
Six promises. Some of them cost us money.
- Real measurementsEach product page shows the garment's measurements in centimetres, taken when it's laid flat. Although sizes can vary between different manufacturers, the measurements themselves remain the same. This way, you can get an accurate idea of the garment's size, regardless of who made it.
- One price, in poundsWe charge you a one-time fee, and that's it — the price you see is the price you pay, with VAT already included. We don't believe in hiking up prices just so we can offer discounts later on. And when your item arrives, you won't have to pay a single penny more than what you've already paid.
- No fake hurryNo countdown timers, no stock counters, no "eleven people are viewing this", no popup before you have seen a single garment.
- Easy returnsIf it's not quite right, email us within 30 days of delivery and we send you the return address and instructions. No reason needed, no restocking fee, no hassle.
- A real person answersWrite to us and a human replies. Not a bot, not a macro, not three days later.
- Plain packagingNo fuss, just a simple tissue and a box, that's it. Nothing extra to throw away, no mess to clean up. Just a straightforward, hassle-free option.
How a piece gets in
Three questions, in this order.
We check out a lot of stuff, but only a few things make the cut. Everything that ends up in the store has gone through a pretty strict process — and most of it doesn't even make it past the first step.
First
Is the cloth any good?
Weight, composition and handle. If we cannot find out what it is actually made of, we do not list it — and we print what we find on the page.
Second
Does it fit real people?
Not one sample size on one body. We want the measurements to make sense across the whole size run before it goes up.
Third
Would we still want it?
In a year. In five. If it only works for one season it fails here, however well it photographs.
Plainly
There are a couple of things we'd prefer to discuss with you directly.
We're not like other companies that claim to have a long history. SOLTERI hasn't been around since 1962, and we don't have a heartwarming story about how our grandfather started the business. We'd rather be honest about who we are than make something up. Instead of relying on a fake history to gain your trust, we want to earn it by being transparent and authentic. We're new, and we're okay with that. We're focused on building a reputation from scratch, and we're excited to start this journey with you.
We sell to customers in Britain and we price in pounds, but we're not a British company and our clothes aren't made here. Returns go to the address we email you when you ask — it isn't a UK one. We'd rather tell you that up front than let you assume otherwise.
We aren't manufacturers, we don't make the fabric or operate a factory. Our role is to search, set a high standard, and be selective — we say no to a lot of things. The key part of our job is choosing the right things, and that's what we're focused on doing really well.

The things you actually want to know.
The United Kingdom, and only the United Kingdom. Prices are in pounds sterling with VAT included. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are all covered, with no regional surcharge.
Free on every order, no minimum. Dispatched in 1–2 business days (Mo - Fr), then 6–12 business days (Mo - Fr) in transit — 7–14 business days (Mo - Fr) in all.
30 days from delivery, no reason needed and no restocking fee. You arrange and pay the return postage on a change of mind; if anything is faulty or wrong, we pay it.
Flat measurements in centimetres on every product page. If you are between sizes, write to us and we will tell you honestly which way to go.
